Shih Tzu Puppy Training

shih tzu puppy training is essential if you're going to have a well behaved adult Shih Tzu. Not that the older dog can be trained, but it's so much easier to start your dog off right. With only a few general principles of training your puppy can get off to a great start.

Remember that what behavior is cute in a tiny little dog can be annoying at best in your favorite adult. Remember also that no matter how much you love your new puppy, that puppy will grow up to be an adult dog. Many times unacceptable behavior results in an adult dog in a dog leaving his home, and not by choice either. So, should not be allowed to go that the behavior will jeopardize your long-term relationship with your pet.

This is a specialty here. First you need to do some thinking about what is acceptable behavior for you. You as pet owner must make decisions. I start early to set boundaries for your pet. What to expect from your pet? What are your responsibilities? Do not allow that behavior problems go unchecked. Caring for the shih tzu puppy is a big responsibility, but a fun one too!

If you see a behavior problem in the development and do not know what to do, get some help. Training resources are widely available, or with local trainer or on the Internet plus books and video. See, your pet is looking to you for guidance. You may not succeed in your pet. On May you really need training, not your pet.

One way to handle this is to monitor your puppy closely, and scoop the puppy and get to the appropriate place to remove before it happens. There are several ways plus a few different products to help. Products to include a dog litter box, doggie diapers and potty pads.

House training is only the beginning. You can move on to obedience training, and even to learn tricks for your puppy.

your puppy can grow up to be a fun and important part of your family with just a little guidance from you.
